A SEA OF BUTTERFLIES

As soon as I saw a collection of butterflies on Ali Edwards blog I knew that I needed to undertake a similar project for Marisol's bedroom. Unfortunately I couldn't find a hole punch large enough for my project so I pulled out my box of scrapbooking papers and traced around beautiful shapes and wording with a butterfly shaped cookie cutter and then used scissors to cut out each butterfly. The butterflies were then folded in the center (similar to a paper plane) to make them appear more 3D and mounted inside a display case using mounting squares.
