While shopping for the babies upcoming birthday party I came across this fabulous tableware at the Crate & Barrel Outlet.
This range of plates, cutlery and cups is the alternative to the traditional disposable tableware that most people use for parties.
They are made from 100% recycled plastic. They are dishwasher safe (oh yes, you can re-use them). Most importantly, they are environmentally friendly.
A packet of 10 small plates costs around $4.50 (I paid $4.75 for them today), but when you consider that they are re-useable, after a couple of parties they will more than make up for the cost you would have spent on disposable plates. Not to mention you will have done your part for the environment too. This product line is only available in red and green, but hopefully they will launch more colors in the future.
