Have I told you our big news? No!
WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! And in honor of such an occasion I made a little cake to celebrate.
Of course I have a couple of cake decorating tips for you:
Tip 1:
I made this cake using First Street Moist Chocolate Cake Mix - which you may not know but I used this same cake mix to bake the twins Teddy Bear Picnic cake for their birthday last year. I love it because there is enough mix to make a sheet cake. Remember Martha's golden rule though when making cakes: substitute the oil for apple sauce. Trust me, it makes the cake taste so much better.
Tip 2:
Use vinyl disposable gloves when mixing fondant colors. You can wash them in between mixing the different colors.
