This kids Halloween craft doubles as a tin can toss game to play indoors or outside with their friends this Halloween for hours of fun.

My first post How to Make a Fun Halloween Activity for Kids went live today and I would love it if you could swing by and say hello and use the tutorial to make this fun activity with your kids this Halloween.

UPDATE: This craft project was initially created for a website by the name of Kidzui, however, that website is no longer online so my content was moved over here.

These are very simple, and fun to make.

Supplies

  • Tin cans
  • Spray paint
  • Acrylic paint and a brush
  • Ball or bean bag
  • Clear spray sealant

Instructions

Apply two to three coats of spray paint (your base color) to each of the tin cans. Make sure each coat is dry before spraying the next one.

Using acrylic paint and a paintbrush, paint a face on each of your tin cans. Here are a few ideas for you:

  • Frankenstein
  • Jack O’Lantern
  • Ghost
  • Skeleton
  • Black cat
  • Dracula
  • Owl
  • Witch
  • Candy corn
  • Monster
  • Mummy

Apply a sealant over the top to help protect the paint from chipping. These tin cans will get knocked around a bit when throwing a bean bag or ball at them.
