So we went to the Los Angeles Zoo recently.  It was hot.  There were bees.  It was hot AND there were bees.  Did I mention the bees yet?  Because there were a lot.  And it was hot.

The kids held up well though considering it was hot, and there were bees.  I couldn't resist saying it one more time, sorry.

Their favorite things had to be taking a ride on the Safari Shuttle around the park, and exploring the caves in the Winnick Family Children's Zoo.

Here are a few photos from our visit:

I've added this to my 'been there, done that' list.   We loved hanging out with our friends for the day.  Very few Zoo's can compare to the San Diego Zoo though.

I don't recommend going over the summer, not until something is done about the bees.   A piece of advice from me to you.  You are welcome!
