DIY Erasable Chore Charts and Lists

Get organized with these free printable and erasable chore charts and lists.

My daughter is the queen of organization. I always thought I was pretty organized, but then she came along. Sure, I don’t always accomplish everything I set out to, but every morning starts with a list being written of everything I’d like to get done that day while I have my morning coffee. My daughter, on the other hand, has lists for everything from caring for her nails, to projects she’d like to do, and of course her daily chores.

So, I decided to create new erasable lists for her. That way she’s not constantly looking for paper, or having to handwrite everything over and again if some of the things cross over from day-to-day.

Note: This project was originally created for Hewlett Packard’s MyPrintly website, however that site has been taken offline. You can still view some of the MyPrintly projects on the HP YouTube channel.

What You Need To Make Erasable Chore Charts

  • HP Deskjet Printer 3755
  • HP Original Ink
  • Plain paper
  • Access to a laminator – or take your project to a stationery store where they will laminate it for a couple of dollars.
  • Wet erase markers
  • Boards with clips for displaying your lists
  • The printables I’ve created for you in both letter size or 5×7

How To Make Erasable Chore Charts

I’ve sized the three printables I’ve created in both letter size and 5×7 so print whicher size suits your needs. I used the 5×7.

Trim your printable to cut off any excess white space, and then laminate each page. I took mine to a local stationery store and they did all three for under $2.

The boards I found were on clearance at a local home goods store but they weren’t exactly what I wanted for my daughter’s bedroom. So I moved the clip on one, and painted another so that they would match her bedroom decor.

Clip your laminated pages to your boards, and start making your lists.  Tip: I find that theExpo Vis-a-vis wet-erase overhead markers work best for this. They wipe clean on laminated paper with a damp towel.
