Guess who finally got all of her photographs off her iPhone? We had a busy, busy June. A couple of highlights being the little ones graduating from Kindergarten, and the teen will be a Junior in the fall, and we officially started summer vacation.
It's a lot of work keeping kids entertained over the long summer break. We've been doing an activity each day that will get them out of the house, and when they are at home, they are almost always in the swimming pool.
Here's some of the fun we had in June.

We made organizers at a Home Depot Kids Workshop, we enjoyed family time at Chollas Lake Park, we ate dinner from food trucks, and we looked for bugs.

I took my teen out for lunch at Five Guys, I attended the Elevate Blog Conference with my friend Natalie, we built Lego Heroes at Legoland, and met Bob the Builder.

We went to Chuck-E-Cheese, graduated from Kinder, played bingo with friends, and had an ice-cream party.

We officially turned off the weekday alarm clock, we played at Pepper Grove Playground, we read books, and got a new haircut.

We went to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast, we had fun at the San Diego Botanic Gardens, and we ate lunch by the bay at the Pacifica in Del Mar.

We spent Father's Day at Crown Point, where we grilled, made s'mores and had a fabulous time with friends. We got tackled at Aikido lessons, and mummy soaked in some rays while the kids had swim lessons.

We ate snow cones, and spent a day playing at Del Mar Beach at Camp Pendleton for daddy's work party. Little man rode the waves on the boogy board for the first time by himself.

I hid from the kids, soaked in a bubble bath, and read a book for a whole hour before they found me, we spent a lot of time learning on our Rusty and Rosy software, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Janet's Montana Cafe.

We explored trains at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum, then had a very special ride in the cab with the Engineer to the International Border Tunnel. I celebrated my 40th birthday with a day at the Avia Day Spa, and came home feeling like a brand new woman.

We watched the beautiful pink roses in our yard come into full bloom, we learned how to jump off the diving board, I spent a day at Rancho La Puerto in Mexico learning about their Family Weeks, and we learned how to use a lifejacket.

We played at the San Diego County Fair, we went on nearly every ride in the kids zone, indulged in an Aussie favorite (potato cakes), and ate pineapple on sticks. We spent time at the train station dropping off and picking up teenagers - when did they become so big, and independent?

We had playdates with best friends, I knitted at Panera Bread with girlfriends, we had yummy bacon covered hotdogs at the park, and hula-hooped, crafted, walked the tightrope, and watched fabulous shows at Kids Fest at Imperial Beach.
Tell me about your summer adventures. We still have 8 more weeks until school starts back. How long have you got?
Some of my favorite iPhone photo apps right now are Snapseed, Frametastic, VSCO CAM, and Camera+. I've also just downloaded Bubble Frame and Fuzel and am looking forward to playing with them too.
