We are making fun turkey treats over at 5 Minutes for Mom today. These are so easy that kids can make them, or you can do my favorite thing and surprise them on Thanksgiving morning with their favorite cereal in a turkey.
Looking for a quick teacher gift before the Thanksgiving break, a small gift for a neighbor or friend, or simply a fun place setting for the Thanksgiving table that your guests can take home? Well I've got just the thing over at MyPrintly today.
Head on over to MyPrintly to get the instructions for making this and to download the free printable gift tag, I've also included instructions to make your own if you want to change the wording or design.
My kids absolutely love to have after school and weekend play dates. Now that they are getting older being around their friends is becoming more and more important to them and I am thankful that my kids friends have amazing parents who I've quickly become friends with too, so it's become quite common for us to text each other from the carpool line to say hey I've got your kid in my car, or don't bother coming up today because I'll grab everyone and take them home.
And yesterday was no different. A quick text to a couple of friends during the day and my daughter's friends were over after school for the afternoon. While they did homework, I set up a hot chocolate bar for them, and they had fun playing with toppings, and squirting whipped cream straight into their mouths and eating snacks before heading into the backyard to play for a little while.
A hot chocolate bar doesn't need to be fancy, it just needs to have a few choices, because everyone likes to experiment with flavor combinations, and everyone has different tastes. I wanted this one to be fall inspired, with fresh fall scents, but still keep what I know kids normally love in their hot chocolate.
First of all though let me share my hot chocolate recipe, it's really simple.
I love seeing my work featured around the web and in print, however please only use one image (which should be credited and linked to the original post) and do not re-publish recipes or tutorials. Thank you.
