I received an email this past week that really touched me. It was from a lady by the name of Patricia who is working on a recently launched site called Moment of Thanks.
Whether you support the war or not, there are troops sacrificing their lives every day for the freedom that this country and the people in it have. Moment of Thanks is about taking a moment out of your day to give thanks to those military personnel.
Having my husband currently serving overseas and knowing that each and every day he misses out on seeing his children, being in the comfort of his own bed and eating my cooking (okay so maybe he's not missing that ha ha) is extremely hard, both on him and on us.
There are many ways in which you can participate in a Moment of Thanks.
- You can upload your own personal message to troops in the form of a video, photograph or a simple message.
- You can become a corporate sponsor
- You can get the word out about this wonderful organization.
I truly hope that everyone takes just a few moments out of their day to log onto Moment of Thanks and types up a quick message to go out to the troops, or in the very least blogs about this to get the word out. Their goal is to deliver 100,000 messages so let's all band together and help them make that goal.
