I love dessert. Truly. I'm a dessert kinda gal. Growing up there was always, yes I mean every single night, dessert after dinner. It's one thing I have been seriously slacking on around here for a while, but I'm getting back into the swing of it in hoping to keep with my mum's tradition.
On Saturday I baked lemon meringue pie, one of my favorites … you'll hear me say that a lot.
I picked up a really cute pie baking dish at Michaels for $2.99 before Halloween. It had the recipe printed on it. It sounded delish. It WAS delish. Even if the rest of my family don't eat desserts, you can always count on me to eat them and it only took 3 nights for me to polish off this one. Randy and Jay don't really like dessert, they are chocolate chip cookie kinda guys. The babies like cake, pudding, cookies, jello … you know, the basic stuff, but aren't used to eating the yummy desserts that I love so much. All the more for me I say.
Tomorrow I'll be posting all of the delicious pumpkin, apple and fall related recipes I've been baking over the past week, along with my turkey recipe for those who have been asking for it.
