My dear friend Jessica was dealt a tragic blow last week when her beautiful little Tuesday earned her wings after putting on a brave fight with cancer.

When I was visiting family in Australia last year I asked an extremely talented friend if she had anything that I could donate to a fund-raising event that was being held for little Tuesday not long after I returned back to the States.  Unfortunately, things didn't pan out quite the way I hoped and I wasn't able to send my auction item off.  I have been hanging onto it ever since waiting for the right moment to do something with it.

On Friday I will be flying to Colorado with friends my twins group to attend Tuesday's 'Celebration of Life' (which is being held on Saturday).  I will be giving Jessica this beautiful handmade, inspirational purse.

Thank you Sue for letting me bring this home with me and I hope you don't mind me passing it on to Jess.  I'm sure she will treasure it.  The inspirational words embroidered over the purse I hope will bring her comfort and peace.

*Sue, I really hope you will consider opening an on-line store.  People would love to purchase all of the wonderful knitted bracelets, bags, quilts, and pillows that you make.*

So sorry to hear about Tuesday. Please let Jessica and her family know that we pray for them. What a lovely bag you are taking…the wings are a beautifully poignant touch.

Such a thoughtful and generous thing for you to do, so glad you get to give it to her in person…and such a beautiful one of a kind gift! Somehow, I think just having you there will be an amazing gift!

Gorgeous. I didn’t even see it in CO. If your friend opens I a shop I would love to own one.

Tonya,I have an award for you on my blog. It is for “great attitude and gratitude” and you came to mind. You have great ideas and are a wonderful example of a super attitude and show gratitude in many ways. http://everythingexceptthegrill.blogspot.com/2009/02/and-oscar-goes-to.html
