One thing that I LOVE to use instead of gift wrap is paper table cloths.
Not only can you cut them to any size you need – from small gifts to odd shaped gifts to large gifts, but the paper has a fabulous texture and feel.
I really love that if you have a slightly larger gift you don’t have to tape pieces of paper together because these rolls are so much wider than a standard wrapping paper roll.
I don’t usually use tape on these, that way the recipient can re-use it if they like. Instead, I use ribbons (knitted or fabric) to hold the wrap together around the parcel.
It also looks lovely to line gift baskets with instead of wads of tissue paper packed under gifts. Use pattern-edge scissors to make a beautiful edge around the paper before placing it into the gift basket.
These rolls I purchased from Ikea today for $3.99 each and they are 1.2 x 6 m each.
