You have to love a day that starts with art and craft projects for the twins while daddy was with his study group at school and the teenager was napping.
This mask-arade kit was given to Marisol for her 3rd birthday by my parents when they came to visit. It is a handmade kit by Figtree Hollow Crafts & Homewares in Australia. Unfortunately they don't have a website, but for my Aussie friends here is their location (their kits make fabulous gifts).
While Marisol worked on her mask, Flynn used cookie cutters, foam letters and brushes to make more wrapping paper for our stash ... and did a little creative face painting on himself at the same time.
And yes, I did say cookie cutters. He painted on the top of them with washable paint. They make a great stamp and are very easy to clean.
When daddy came home from school he took them food shopping (that always gives me a couple of hours of peace) while mummy cleaned the paint off the walls and then it was time to dress up for trick or treating.
My hungry little trick or treaters came home with bags full of candy. But, not wanting them to be on a sugar high before bed, this mummy made broccoli and potato soup for them to have with warm dinner rolls before they could indulge in a couple of sugary treats.
Sorry, no photographs of the teenager. He's 'too old' for Halloween apparently. He chose not to partake in dressing up and other family activities, instead deciding to hang out with his new neighborhood friends.
