Looking for something that's quick and easy for dinner tonight?
How about these grilled pork chops with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes?
Two hands are better than one when it comes to whipping up this quick and delicious dinner. While the man of the house took care of the grilling, I was able to take that time to make the sides, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts.
- Pork chops - 1 per person
- Kraft Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce
- 2 cups Brussels sprouts
- 1 slice bacon - cooked
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tsp crushed garlic
- 3 green onions
- 3 baking potatoes
- 4oz cream cheese
Note: We have one child who is on a dairy free diet, so used Earth Balance spread and Tofutti Cream Cheese.
While the grill is heating outside prepare the side dishes.
Boil water for the mashed potatoes, add a dash of salt to the water, and then peel, chop and add the potatoes as these will take the longest to cook.
Pop the Brussels Sprouts, bacon, 1 teaspoon garlic, the whiter section of the green onions and 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and stir fry for approximately 12 minutes.
Place the chops on the grill.
Brush them often with the Kraft Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce.
Note the cool Evergriller Grill 'N' Flip Mitt that my man is using which was created to inspire Evergrillers to develop new winter grilling traditions just in time for the big game. The Evergriller Grill 'N' Flip Mitt is perfect for us because we grill rain, hail, or shine. I've even been known to send the man outside to grill in the dark where he grills by the light on his phone.
Mash the potatoes with just a little of the water from the pot, 2 tablespoons of butter, the cream cheese, and one heaped teaspoon of garlic.
Top with a little of the green from the green onions.
With most meals, we put food out in bowls and on platters so everyone can serve themselves.
The Evergriller Grill 'N' Flip Mitt is a specially designed, fire-resistant grilling glove that protects the griller's hands from both the heat of the grill and the chill of the outdoors during winter grilling season. The unique design of the top insert can hold many grill tools, making it easy to flip, stab, and baste with ease and precision.
This January, Kraft Barbecue Sauce launch a newly revamped line of sauces with recipes that feature high-quality ingredients like tomatoes, sweet molasses, cider vinegar and cane sugar.
