Father's Day is just around the corner and if you are looking for something to do for the special man in your life, I've got a simple entertaining idea that he is sure to love.
Afternoon tea is the perfect time to celebrate dad. When the sun is shining outside and the kids are playing, set up a simple dessert and coffee table outdoors.
Setting a table doesn't need to be expensive or elaborate. Bring pieces from all around your home outdoors. An eclectic mix gives your table personality, enhances your own individual style, and allows you an opportunity to use those pieces you may otherwise have stored away.
I couldn't resist sharing them. The twins' made them at school for their dad for Father's Day. They were so excited to give them to him, and even more so when he told them that he's going to put them on his desk at work.
Did your kids give dad handmade gifts this Father's Day?
None of my boys have a sweet tooth, they will occasionally indulge in cookies and love ice cream, but they don't really eat dessert, cake, or anything with icing, so these cupcakes are perfect for a dad who doesn't like cupcakes covered in icing.
Looking for a surprise homemade Father's Day activity that kids can enjoy with their dad? I've got you covered.
You all know of my love of adorable monsters - not the scary kind, but the fun, brightly colored, make children smile kind. The book Because I'm Your Dad, by Ahmet Zappa tells the story (from a monster dad's point of view) of the different roles that dad's play. It's the perfect book for dad's to read to their kids on Father's Day, it's both heartfelt and fun.
I'm not one to stick to just book reading though. I thought it would be great to get the kids even more interested in the book by reading it like a play. And what's a play without a treat too?
I love seeing my work featured around the web and in print, however, please only use one image (which should be credited and linked to the original post) and do not re-publish recipes or tutorials. Thank you.
