As I mentioned a few days ago, we are hosting a Halloween Harry Potter LEGO birthday party for Marisol and Flynn this coming weekend. That's quite a mouthful isn't it? But it is October and they are still obsessed with LEGO, and after our recent trip to Universal Studios in Florida they came home with a love of all things Harry Potter. In fact we've already watched 6 of the movies over the past few weeks. We only have the Deathly Hallows (part 1 and 2) to go.
Onto the party though. Over the next few weeks I'll be breaking down the party into various tutorials.
Let's start with the invitations.
I have quite a fascination with owls, so it was only natural that I would choose them for the invitations. Especially when I thought back to the movie and how the owls deliver mail to the students.
The twins are having a teddy bear picnic for their birthday party this year. They also requested we have bees too. I'm not quite sure where that request came from, but now they are having a bears and bees party ... picnic style.
The invitations are going out this week. They would have gone out last week, but my initial idea of handmade jigsaw puzzles were ... let's just say ... thwarted by a pair of 3 year olds wielding paint brushes and a bowl of water.
I love seeing my work featured around the web and in print, however, please only use one image (which should be credited and linked to the original post) and do not re-publish recipes or tutorials. Thank you.
