Will you be visiting Knott's Scary Farm?

We were invited to the media opening event last week.

Although Knott's Scary Farm is not 'little kid' friendly, Flynn and I had a great time at the opening ceremony and media dinner. We left just after that because, well, it's scary, and I think I'm more chicken than he is.

As we arrived at the park there was an impressive row of hearse's lined up at the entrance.

And this kid thought it was all pretty cool.

We listened to music and caught up with a few friends, before being ushered past the ticket booths to get an up close and personal view of the opening ceremony.

After the opening ceremony where some of the 1000 or so monsters that are at the park came through the gates and carried off a victim, we were re-directed to the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel for dinner.

The decor and centerpieces were fabulous, and the lighting, just perfect (unless you are clueles on how to use your camera in that lighting … not looking at anyone in particular).

One minute Flynn would tell me that the monsters were creeping him out and the next minute I would turn around and catch him teaching them how to play LEGO Monster Fighters on the iPhone. Clearly he was terrified …

This is about as scary as we get. I think Camp Spooky is more our speed.

Visit the Knott's Berry Farm website to find out more about Knott's Scary Farm and Camp Spooky.

Disclosure: We were invited to a media preview of Knott's Scary Farm.
