I'm quite often asked how I get my photos and videos on my blog or what websites I used to put them on here. So here goes for the list of great websites that I use.

Some of my collages have been done using Picasa. Simply hold down 'Ctrl' while clicking on the photos you would like in your collage and then click the 'collage' button at the bottom of the page. It's free and super easy to organize all of the photos that you download from your camera too. You could try Big Huge Labs too to create a simulated collage from one photograph.

Want to make your own header for your blog (my header was made using this site) or maybe just put together a scrap book to post from a vacation or a fun day out. Try out Scrapblog. It's free and couldn't be easier to use. Totally addictive too.

amendment: Check my instructions here for putting the scrap into your blog header.

Try out any of these websites to make slideshows to add to your blog – Photobucket, One True Media, Picture Trail, Slide, Picasa, Smilebox/Making Memories, Flickr.

One True Media. I've posted quite a few montages on my blog using this site. You can do a mix of photographs and videos. You can then order the DVD's. Fabulous if you are documenting a wedding, baby shower or party and want a gift for the host.

One True Media, Picture Trail.

Want to add some fun stuff to your photographs, change the shape of the photo or add a border, try these websites: Ez Rounded Corners and Picnik.

Add fun scrap pages to your blog posts then print them out for your scrapbook – Smilebox and Scrapblog.

Want to post videos. Either upload using the Blogger upload tool in your post or try these websites out – Smilebox creations, One True Media montages, Yahoo videos, Google videos, Photobucket, Flickr and You Tube.

Hope this helps. Hope to see many more photos, videos and scrapbooks on your blogs.

If you have any other great links I'd love you to share them with me. Happy blogging.

Hey! I love your tips! I tried scrapblog and loved it though I have a question…I could only get it to transfer to blogger as a post, not as the header. Then once it was transfered as a post, I tried to move it to the header but it wouldn’t let me. How do you make it the header? Can you either tell me here or email me at [email protected]‘t use the yahoo email though as I never check it. I have always only posted to the board…I’ve never checked the actual email so I probably have like, 49879898876 emails there and if anyone ever sends me a private email, I never know about it. I’m a dork I know! Anyhow, Thanks.Love, ang

Cool! I always learn something new here 🙂 I didn’t know I could add a slideshow from Picasa to my blog. I will have to play with it to figure it out…I have only just posted single pictures or collages with it. Thanks!

Shannon: Click on the photos that you want in your slideshow. Click the ‘web album’ tool at the bottom of the picasa page. Once the photos have uploaded into a web album, you’ll see some links to the left of the page. One is to embed as a slideshow. Viola!
