Natural Bridge State Beach

,

Natural Bridges State Beach is a beautiful little area just north of Santa Cruz.  It is the winter home of the Monarch Butterflies, there is a fabulous picnic area and a small beach with tidepools at low tide.  We took a picnic lunch there and although it was a little chilly the kids had a great time building sand castles and playing in the water.

  1. Lovely pics as always.

I have been reading your blog for a few months now and have often wondered if your daughter was named after (with a slight alteration) the yarn Mirasol?
I work in a yarn shop in Wales, UK.

  2. Hi Emma,

Marisol came from a character on CSI Miami. I absolutely loved it as soon as I heard it and put it on the short list of 5 names. My husband had the deciding vote and chose it
