I recently shared a post with you that I wrote for Blissfully Domestic, 20 amazing school lunches for kids. But what happens when they come home from school starving? I know mine do. So I have a new post up on Blissfully Domestic, 20 after school snacks for kids.
And this makes 21.
This reminds me of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, a story that my kids love.
All you need are:
- Wooden skewers
- Green grapes
- Red grapes
- Black Wilton icing in a tube
- Plum Kids Organic Fruit Shredz
Thread the green grapes onto the skewer first, and then one red one. Using a sharp knife make a cross (a horizontal and vertical slit) on each side of the red grape. Slice one of the fruit shredz in half and insert into the slit. Using the black Wilton icing, carefully pipe on two eyes.
Kids will love the opportunity to get into the kitchen and help you make this adorable snack.

So so cute Ton! Would be great for a kid’s party too.
Oh my goodness these are cute. I saw the link featured on the Rebel Chick and came to visit. Pinning them. 🙂
cute idea…Proper nutrition is important as kids grow, and snack time should be just as healthy and delicious as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Instead of reaching for something packaged and processed, parents can make the best of this opportunity by creating healthy and delicious snacks that will keep kids (and their bellies) happy and full until dinner.
