This handmade camera strap cover is soft, easy to make, and if you make a few in different colors you can switch them whenever you want.
Do you remember the last camera strap cover I made? Well, it was beginning to look a little worse for wear, so I decided that it was time to whip up a new one.
Please excuse the cell phone photo above, unfortunately, that’s what happens when you are trying to photograph your camera.
This camera strap cover was whipped up in under thirty minutes.
Supplies
- Grey fleece
- Fabric flowers
- Beads
- Invisible thread
- Sewing machine
Instructions
Measure your camera strap and cut out a piece of the fleece allowing a little extra for seams.
Hem the short ends of the fleece strip, then fold it in half (inside out) and sew into a tube.
Turn the tube the right way out and thread it onto your existing camera strap. Run your sewing machine over the ends to hold it in place so it doesn’t slide around.
Hand-stitch the fabric flowers onto the end of the strap, and then using invisible thread sew a few colorful beads into the center of the flowers.
