These fish snacks with fruit are healthy and make for a fun food craft for kids. Make them for a pool, beach, or under the sea, or a school party.

The sun is shining today. It makes me want to head for water, but with the kids in school, the closest I will be getting is having a little fun with my food and making more of these adorable fish with mandarins.
Note: I created this fun idea for the Halos blog; however, that blog has been taken offline, so I moved my content over here.
Fun fish snacks with fruit
Watching the kids giggle when I gave them these fun after-school snacks made my day.
What you need
- 1 mandarin
- orange cardstock
- toothpick
- glue
- googly eyes
- pencil

Instructions
Fold the cardstock in half.
Lay the mandarin on top of the card stock and sketch a fish tail approximately the same height as the mandarin. Cut it out, so you end up with two matching pieces.

Using the glue, attach the two fish tail pieces with the toothpick in the center.
Insert the fish tail into the mandarin, and then attach the googly eyes to the mandarin using a little glue.

These mandarin fish are perfect for a pool party, after-school snack, or to take to your kids’ swim lessons.
