It’s football season and whether you are homegating or tailgating you are probably feeding more than your immediate family so saving money is essential. I wanted to make homemade mini pizzas, that everyone could add their own toppings too and then be cooked on the grill.
What I love about individual pizzas, especially with English muffins, is that instead of having just one pizza with a selection of toppings, you can make as many little pizzas as you like with different toppings, and kids can get involved too by choosing and putting on their own toppings.
Pizza topping ideas
- Mozzarella – shredded
- Green bell pepper
- Mushrooms
- Chicken breast
- Ham – grilled ham steaks
- Pineapple
- Pizza sauce
Split the English muffins in half and place them on the grill with the inside face down. Grill for just a couple of minutes until warm and there are grill marks.
Top with pizza sauce and toppings of your choice. Place back on the grill and close the lid until the English muffin base is toasted and a little crunchy and the cheese is melted on top.
