This year has to be the most exciting so far for all things Halloween.  The twins want to wear costumes.  They want to trick or treat and they want to do all of the fun things that occur around the Fall and Halloween season from decorating pumpkins and cookies, to attending parties.

The treat bags I put together for the twins to hand out to their friends:

They were very easy to make.  I put one tub of Halloween Play-Doh and a tool in a medium sized (4.75" x 6.75") transparent archival bag (these can be purchased at craft stores).  I measured the top and then allowing approximately 5mm extra on either side of the bag, put together the top of each bag on the computer using free clip-art.  These were printed out on card stock.  The sides were cut using straight-edged scissors.  The card was folded in half and the bottom of the front and back were cut with jagged-edged scissors.  Then the top of the bag was placed near the crease in the card and it was stapled together.

And here are the pumpkins they painted:

I think they look adorable, but yes, am very eager to see the Wizard of Oz duo! 🙂 Very cute favor bags! Love the painted pumpkins, too! Are you planning on having them help you make pies and roasted pumpkin seeds out of those? Would love to see THOSE pics! 😉

I am sure the Wizard of Oz costumes will be great, but this little Tinkerbell and Peter Pan are adorable.

OK, it’s me late to your party and reading your blog… LOVE the lion and Dorothy…my big girl likes to wear a different costume to school, and save the “real” costume for a big reveal on the actual day. I also bought the same Halloween cookie “stamps” but we didn’t make it to the preschool party- swine flu x 2. One gruesome halloween with two rather wilted princesses. Oh well- can’t win them all.
