Can’t find Halloween hair accessories to match your outfit or costume? Make these easy Halloween hair ties, headbands, and hair clips.
Looking for hair accessories for your little girl to wear to all those fun fall and Halloween activities she’ll be attending? I’m showing you how to make these simple Halloween hair ties, headbands, and clips.
Halloween hair accessories
Halloween hair ties
Note: This craft project was initially created for the website, Kidzui, however that website is no longer online so I moved my content over here.
You could add all kinds of fun buttons to these like pumpkins, fall leaves, ghosts, black cats, and more.
- Hair ties
- Halloween buttons
- Needle and thread
Attach the buttons to the hair ties using your needle and thread.
Halloween hair clips and headbands
- Embellishments – generally found in the scrapbook area of a craft store. The ones I purchased were a 3 pack of Michael’s Recollections for $3.99.
- Hair clips
- Hot glue sticks and gun
Using your hot glue gun, attach the embellishment to your hair clip or headband. It’s really as simple as that!
These button Halloween hair ties, headbands, and hair clips make great non-candy Halloween treats too.

Thanks Ang. You have no idea how many times I say the same thing though about ideas others have come up with :).
Meike, of course you can use them yourself … why do you think I made M a headband and clips :). All I need are some bat wings and a black dress and I'm good to go on Halloween … hmmm, now there's a thought.
