Kids will love making these handmade puzzle frames to give to someone special on Mother’s or Father’s Day.
Mother’s Day was a bust this year. Again! It’s easy to tell others to not have any expectations, but there’s always this little voice that hopes.
Is it too much to ask that someone clean the floors (my most hated household chore), or maybe make a special meal?
Despite my disappointment about no celebration, the twins did make me beautiful handmade gifts at school. I help out with art projects in the classroom so I was lucky enough to be able to help with this one too.
The teacher picked up the supplies for this project and I helped the kids in class put them together.
Supplies
- Jigsaw puzzle pieces
- Plain wood frames – the kind you get at the craft store
- School glue
- Photo
- Paper
- Markers – optional
- Paint – optional
Instructions
Either print, or have the kids write a sign that says ‘I love you to pieces’.
If the kids want to paint the frame first, let them go ahead and do that.
Then, once it’s dry, have them attach the jigsaw puzzles around the outside of the frame with the school glue.
Take a photo of the kids holding their sign and place it inside the frame.
