Mother's Day was a bust this year. I've decided that all of the days aside from my birthday and Mother's Day are going to be special from now on, and every day I will count my blessings and be grateful for my three children, who mean so much to me.

Despite my disappointment, one of the highlights was receiving handmade frames from the little ones that they had made at school … with my help of course, because this craft project fell on my day to help in class.

Isn't this one that M made so sweet.

The teacher brought an old jigsaw puzzle into school with some plain wood frames. Using Elmer's school glue the kids attached puzzle pieces all around the frames and then set them aside to dry before placing a picture the teacher had taken of each of them into it.

They would make a lovely Father's Day gift too.

I love this idea! Sorry to hear that this year was a bit of a bust…
