Making a handmade felt creations board for kids is so easy to do, just follow these easy tips.
Inspired by the twin's upcoming Bears and Bees Birthday Party I made this new felt teddy bear picnic felt creation for them. They have loved playing with felt boards for the longest time, and it's really so easy to make your own additions to felt boards.
What you need:
- Stiff cardboard
- Felt sheets – assorted colors
- Scissors
- Fabric marker – preferably one that disappears over time
- Cookie cutters (optional)
I prefer to use cookie cutters to make the main pieces whenever possible, but you can also make your own stencils using photo editing programs such as Canva or PicMonkey too.
Trace around your stencils or cookie cutters using a fabric marker, and then cut out your shapes. This works great if you have cookie cutters of dinosaurs, sea creatures, zoo animals, numbers and letters … the possibilities are endless.
Do your kids love felt creations as much as mine do?
