If you are still looking for ideas for kids, or school friends, then I've got you covered over at Rusty and Rosy with 10 fun, education inspired, and candy-free Valentine's Day gift ideas that they are sure to love.
I also have a tutorial to make these fun felt heart-shaped pencil grips.
I love these little super hero stick puppets. I made them for Marisol and Flynn to give to their friends at school as a Valentine's Day gift.
What you need:
Wood stick people (available at craft stores)
Paint - in a variety of colors
No-sew fabric such as Spandex that doesn't fray
Silver glitter glue (optional if you want to add a sparkly buckle)
Begin by painting a super hero costume on your wood stick puppet.
Once you have finished painting both sides of your wood super hero, cut out a cape from the spandex. I didn't measure, or use a stencil, I just took a wild guess and started cutting. This is the basic shape I came up with though.
And there you have it, adorable super hero stick puppets; perfect for Valentine's Day or Friendship Day so kids can let their friends know they think they're super.
Don't forget a little gift tag if you are giving these out. I found these little tags at Michael's in the $1 section this week and simply stamped a little message on them.
