Halloween festivities have kicked off around here.

LEGOLAND

Yesterday I took the kids to Legoland (with thanks to a fabulous mum who had a couple of free tickets).  We had a FABULOUS day.  The last time we took the kids Jay and a friend went off and did their own thing but we couldn't really find much to entertain the babies with.  They had fun with the one little play area we stayed in but we wished they were just a little bit older so they could really experience this legotastic place.  I think it was only about 6 months ago that we took them.  It's amazing how things change in such a small amount of time.

Being that Halloween is fast approaching Legoland is well into the spirit of things and has loads of pumpkin photograph stations set up, Halloween Lego sculptures and the fabulous Brick or Treat.  The kids were all given a bag as we went onto the trail and along the way they collected lots of treats.  We also took the twins to an indoor maze with lightning and thunder and all things spooky.  They didn't cry, they seemed quite fascinated with it all.  As we arrived into the ice room a giant Lego bear above us moved and growled.  Marisol put her hands up to her face like a bear and growled right back at it.

Here are just a few of my favorite photographs from our day.

PUMPKIN CRAFTS AND A POTLUCK WITH FRIENDS

Today we met up with a few friends at a local park.  We had a potluck lunch and took lots of crafts along for the kids to decorate pumpkins and make cards. Thanks Jenny for organizing a great event, we had so much fun.

Oh my stars, these are the BEST pictures I’ve seen all week. I now have a sudden desire to go to Legoland. What a fun place! And girl…you totally need to be reading Twilight. Go read…and then go see the movie on November 21. It’s SO GOOD, I promise. I’m kind of a big fan…or did you notice?

You just made realize I’ve never been to Legoland. And with no kids, I probably never will. Unless they have lego-shaped chocolate cake, ohhhh, do they have lego-shaped chocolate cake?

I keep hearing about Lego-land, but have never been – my kids must a little too big. We did go to MM World in NYC if that counts. :)I so love your to-do list. I know Ive said that before, but you amaze me the way youre actually tackling it.
