This afternoon I had a babysitter look after the twins and I spent some much needed one on one time with Jay. He'd always wanted to see the wrestling live so when I heard it was going to be in town Ran and I immediately purchased tickets as an early birthday present for him. He's an avid wrestling fan, sitting up late every Friday night to watch it.
They wouldn't let me take my good camera past security so thankfully I had my crackberry to snap a couple of shots for him.
I was quite fascinated by this testosterone filled event. Men wearing far too much spandex (especially those who should NEVER be seen in it) with way too many sparkles on their hiney's trying to pin each other on the ground. Fireworks, coffins, cages and light shows. Families in the crowd instead of teenage twits thinking they can beat the crap out of anyone in the arena.
I chalk it up to an experience. I can at least say I've been there and done that and it was great spending a night with Jay.
* It was also a great way to celebrate Jay's reading test at school today. He tested at a 10th grade level (he's in 7th grade). I'm so proud of him.
