Today though, I want to show you a fun summer treat that is perfect for kids and adults, and that uses one of those items.
I think you know which item I'm talking about, right? The fruit baller.
So this fun little tool makes summer entertaining, kids lunchboxes, and mealtime extra fun.
To make these, cut the honeydew melon into a thick section, approximately 1.5 inches and remove the seeds.
Use the fruit baller to make little balls in each section of the melon.
Don't let the rest of the honeydew melon go to waste though. Cut the remainder up (don't forget to remove the peel) and make smoothies.
- 2 cups of cubed honeydew melon (approximate - use whatever you've get left)
- 1 cup frozen vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup reduced fat milk
- 1tbs agave nectar
- whipped cream (optional)
Place all ingredients (except the whipped cream) into the blender and blend until frothy on top.
Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream if you would like.
Note: I also popped about a tablespoon of flaxseed meal into the blender too.
