About a month ago I picked up a few packets of 3 washcloth mitts from Target for $2. I love a good clearance sale. They were apparently 'Christmas' colors - green, red, beige and white, hence they were the only ones on sale.
The twins love to wear gloves and mitts and are learning how to wash themselves at the moment so I thought they would love these ...
BUT, they were a little plain. I thought the twins would be more inclined to use them if they were a little more fun. So I decided to try my hand at embroidery (after watching a few on-line video's yesterday). I'm quite happy with the way Flynn's turned out seeing as this was my first attempt and I had to do it freehand because I couldn't transfer a pattern onto the toweling ... I was being impatient and didn't want to wait until today to run to the store to buy the transfer paper I needed, and I wasn't sure if it would work on the toweling or not - any of my readers know if it would, I'd love some advice?
Now to embroider one for Marisol as well ... and Jay asked tonight whether I was planning on doing one for him too. Looks like I may be a little busy.
Don't know about you, but we have a ton of washcloths hidden away in the cupboard that are in a variety of colors and patterns and are never used. I think I may try my hand at making my own washcloth mitts. I came across really easy-to-follow instructions at Martha Stewart today.
